I spend as much time in Brazil as possible. I have taught, done research, and conducted clinical work for several years. During that time I was able to further understand the academic culture of Brazil and develop relationships with the academic community there. I was also able to learn skills and philosophies for more effective therapeutic treatment of Latino families.
I am the intirim director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program and a member of the Family Science faculty. I am also the faculty adviser for the Family Science Organization. A student organization designed to foster professional relationships between students and the professional world outside academia. I love research and teaching and find great satisfaction in working with students and seeing in them the zeal for research and practice grow. I believe that research, teaching and practice need be inseparable.
