Current Assignment in the College of Education and Human Sciences:
Adolescent Development Extension Specialist and Associate Professor
As an Extension faculty member, I work directly in the community to conduct research-based programming, develop educational materials, and disseminate information that can help youth gain skills that will make them successful and productive members of society. In my research, I examine the factors that help children and adolescents develop prosocial behaviors (e.g., volunteerism, cooperativeness) and explore how culture impacts upon children's development. My research has examined these issues among children and adolescents in the Philippines, Brazil, Kenya, Turkey, and Mexico, and the US.
