Dr. Yang advises M.S. and Ph.D. students in Textiles(in Human Sciences) and in Biological Systems Engineering.

_Synthesis and application of fiber and textile finishes

Our biofiber and biomaterials laboratories are capable of producing biofibers, cellulosic, protein and synthetic, and developing materials from these fibers for applications in medical, material and textile industries. Our laboratories also are equipped for most of the ASTM and AATCC standard tests, and modern textile characterizations.

Dr. Yang is also the faculty advisor of the UNL student chapter of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.

Dr. Yang will have a Sabbatical from 2012 to 2013.
